Project Auto is operated by Aztec Building Solutions Pty Ltd, an Australian company based in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT), Australia. We are bound by the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

🤖 AI Services Data Collection
AI Assistant Interactions: When you interact with our AI assistant, we collect and process your questions, requests, and the context needed to provide relevant construction industry advice and support.
AI-Generated Content: We may store AI-generated quotes, documents, and recommendations to improve our services and ensure consistency.
Voice Data: If you use voice features or AI receptionist services, voice recordings may be temporarily stored for processing and quality assurance purposes.

Some of our technology partners and service providers may be located outside of Australia. When we disclose personal information to overseas recipients, we take reasonable steps to ensure that the overseas recipient does not breach the APPs in relation to the information, as required by APP 8.1.

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the APPs, you have the right to:

6. Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt-in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if you have visited the other website.

8. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.
For users that register on our software, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). System administrators can also see and edit that information.
Voice recordings and AI assistant conversations may be retained for a limited period to improve our services and ensure quality, after which they are deleted unless otherwise required for legitimate business purposes or legal compliance.
Project data and construction management information is retained according to your subscription plan and business requirements, with options for data export available upon request.
9. Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, interference, loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure, as required by APP 11.
Our security measures include:
- Encrypted data transmission and storage
- Secure third-party integrations with accounting software
- Regular security assessments and updates
- Access controls and authentication systems
- Secure handling of AI-generated content and conversations
In the event of a data breach that is likely to result in serious harm to any individuals whose personal information is involved in the breach, we will comply with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under Part IIIC of the Privacy Act 1988. This includes assessing the breach, notifying affected individuals, and notifying the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required.
10. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the effective date.
12. Complaints
If you believe that we have breached the APPs or have any concerns about our privacy practices, you can make a complaint.
